Editor Rutherford H. Platt, Jr. (1894-1975) originally brought this work to English readers in 1926. In The Forgotten Books of Eden, he has collected a number of apocryphal biblical writings.
The Forgotten Books of Eden, includes a translation originally published in 1882 of the “First and Second Books of Adam and Eve”, it was first translated from the Ge’ez Ethiopic version into German by August Dillmann. It was first translated into English by S. C. Malan from the German of Ernest Trumpp. The Conflict of Adam and Eve with Satan is a Christian extracanonical work found in Ge’ez, translated from an Arabic original.
The story begins after Adam and Eve’s exile from the Garden of Eden and continues to the death of Adam and then the death of Eve. Then the life and times from Cain and his twin Sister Luluwa to the time of Enoch.

Amusing how these gnostic tomes are always labeled “lost,” as if they once existed and were found under a dusty pile of old books. These were never “lost,” but simply recognized for what they are, extra canonical books that were never recognized as scripture by OT teachers as well as Christian scholars. Read them and chuckle.
