London’s Great Plague of 1665 devastated the city, as Europe’s final bubonic outbreak killed thousands of helpless citizens. Daniel Defoe, author of the classic Robinson Crusoe, was 5 years old when the Plague swept through London, and grew up hearing many stories - some truthful, others exaggerated - of its deadly effects. Blending those anecdotes with his childhood recollections and factual data from government registers, Defoe wrote this comprehensive account of what happened to London in 1665. Both a harrowing historical novel and a reliable journalistic record, Defoe recreates a living, suffering city trying to cope with an incurable, rapidly spreading disease.

Hey ssitimefill - thanx for the ups, but take a break…
April 9th, 2015
Nooooo… no breaks, unless of course you want one. :) Love your work…just love it. :)

Awesome.. Uploading powerhouse.

YES, take a break! You are basically rehashing other peeps/sites uploads; also, some are quite bad quality - you are not taking the time to listen to any of them and control the quality - some are just un-listenable. Most are readily available from ANY Public Library website (better quality and no unnecessary breaks in chapter flow). It also feels like you are hijacking a website by upchucking any and all audio available online (freely)…

NO… Why dont you take a break? Let the listeners decide what they want to hear, how can you know the quality of these books? you could not possibly have had a chance to listen to them.

@clouds - yes, you are right. I take back my comments - he/she should just regurgitate as much audio material as is humanly (if not humanely) possible. I guess that at my age, I find it absurd to look upon middle school “required” reading lists being put up (yet again) as if someone discovered the existence of literature for the FIRST TIME. As far as all the usenet (non-fiction stream of data), well, it’s out there - FOR FREE, to anyone who wants it! The other stuff is, like I’ve said, is readily available from any Public Library link (in better quality - and, YES, yet again, FOR FREE). I simply see no need for this onslaught of unfettered material. The uploader “ssitimefill” has made it clear that he welcomes all requests. So, just saying, perhaps it’s better for people to ask him for certain material; than risk the “literary” tsunami flooding this site…

Lets just agree to disagree. Its convenient for me to get the books here, and ssitimefill kindly provides them for us. FREE. I am forever grateful for it. I cant get to the library very often, and finding them online has been difficult for me.
I am very grateful for your contributions as well as ssitimefills, No disrespect intended. :) You post good books too…
Have a good evening.

You’re right. The fact is that I had no business butting in to the conversation. sitimefill is doing great work and I just need to take a deep breath and pull my head out of my ass and apologize to him and to you.
The quality of the books that he (she?) posts here are great, and bringing dead torrents back to life is a very considerate thing to do. I was wrong and I’m sorry. I don’t know what got into me.
